Project Summary

Morgan Provided abatement and demolition of facility in the Peace River area.  Abatement of the roofing materials was a challenge on this site.  Morgan developed specific health and safety management planning for this task and developed an air monitoring program with the Occupational Hygienist to satisfy the Morgan safety standard and that of Alberta OH&S.  

Project Scope

• Safely removed, packaged, transported, and disposed of all identified hazardous materials, such as asbestos-containing materials, PCB light ballasts, and mercury thermostats

• Stripped out and demolished the lodge building, along with its associated infrastructure, including concrete foundations and cutting and capping utilities

• Processed and transported various demolition materials, including building debris, concrete, and metals

• Worked near an active long-term care facility, prioritizing the management of noise, dust, and debris to ensure minimal impact on the facility and its residents

• Operated within a densely populated residential area, implementing a community protection plan and communication system to collaborate with residents and minimize disruptions in the surrounding neighborhood
