Project Summary:

Site earthworks of CPF, 10 km high grade road, 5 wellpads, ponds, camp and equipment laydown.

  • 157ha of site clearing and grubbing
  • Stripping of topsoil and subsoil to on-site stockpiles 530,000m3
  • Supply and placement of roadway, wellpad and CPF gravels including sub base and base gravels
  • Supply and installation of drainage CSP culverts and ditch construction
  • Excavation and embankment construction for storm ponds including the supply and installation of clay liners
  • Excavation, gravel placement and drainage for tank foundations including geotextiles
  • Completion of work including GPS survey layout and machine grade control
  • Erosion Control including rock check dams, matting and installed manufactured ditch blocks
  • Replaced topsoil and seeding

Challenges and Achievements:

Despite the continuous design changes, negotiations and partnering discussions with client, difficult winter conditions (higher than normal snowfall), and water issues; we completed and profited from this complex project with safety and quality at the top of our priority list, to the satisfaction of our client.
