SUMMARY : •You must have YOUR OWN SERVICE TRUCK AND TOOLS. •This position is responsible for the diagnosis and complete repairs on all company equipment (excavators, graders, loaders, scrapers, dozers, rock trucks, tractors and packers, etc.). •This position is also responsible for ordering materials and parts and required to input data from all time sheets, materials and equipment information for purchase orders. •Various locations throughout Alberta - Must be able to travel to Edmonton, Alberta •Camp or Hotel provided, various locations across Alberta including but not limited to: Acheson, Fort McMurray •Shifts might be 14/7 or 21/7
RESPONSIBILITIES: •Actively supports safety culture by operating equipment and tools in a safe manner, follows Morgan’s Safe Work Procedures, follows Morgan’s PPE policies and practices and report all near misses and incidents to management in a timely fashion •Understand issues involving ground disturbance and ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment •Familiar with aspects of lease building, reclamation, road building, pad building and culvert installation •Demonstrates good judgment and think problems through where applicable, and suggests improvements on job quality •Interacts with internal and external customers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner that contributes toward a positive and productive worksite. Also, has the ability to work well with others, and independently. In addition, can follow direction from foreman and field management •Performing work in a safe manner that conforms to Morgan’s Safe Work Procedures. •Improving job quality by identifying and suggesting improvements. •Using all equipment effectively, economically, safely, and for its intended use. •Notifying the Foreman or Supervisor of any equipment deficiencies. •Performing work with co-workers in a safe, responsible, and cooperative manner.
REQUIREMENTS •Red Seal, Heavy Duty Technician Journeyman Certificate is an asset •5+ years with a combination of field and shop experience is mandatory •Unrestricted class 5 driver’s license with clean 3 year drivers abstract is required •Must supply own tools and own service truck •Must have or be willing to obtain CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional Orientation OR OSSA BSO or CSO (Common Safety Orientation, WHMIS, Ground disturbance II, Standard First Aid level C, H2S Alive, and Wildlife intermediate •Required to work outside under all weather conditions and handle noise and vibrations •Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50lbs •Must be able to work up to 12 hours a day •Must be able to work day or night shifts
