SUMMARY: The primary function for the Project Manager, Environmental Business Unit, is to assist in the planning, management and execution of assigned projects for time and material, unit price, or lump sum environmental construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide leadership within the corporate safety program to maintain excellence in safety performance; • Uphold to Morgan’s common purpose of building trust with all relationships internally externally; • Assist with the establishment and administration of performance measurement systems to meet client service and contract expectations; • Manage contract administration, including change order management, dispute resolution, contract review, annual contract performance evaluations, and quarterly contract review stewardships; • Work directly with existing oil and gas customers; • Respond to large technical projects for provincial and federal government; • Ensure that all company and subcontractor operations meet any applicable industry and regulatory standards; • Identify and coordinate projects and production to ensure maximum resource utilization and adherence to budget and schedule; • Use of “Heavy Bid” our data based, professional estimating software; • Other such duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS: • A minimum of 2 – 5 years progressive project coordination or management experience on environmental or civil construction projects; • Intermediate skills in MS Office, MS Project, or similar software programs; • Ability to successfully manage heavy workloads with multiple priorities; • Must be willing to travel; typically working 10 hours per day on a rotational schedule depending on site/client requirements and demands; and • Position will be based out of Calgary or Edmonton, with frequent field travel throughout Western Canada.
